At Baylor University, I took classes in communication and public relations. I fell in love with aspects from both areas and desired to grow in my marketing skills. One of my favorite professors was able to connect me with Digital Media Butterfly, as she knew that I was looking for an internship in the Waco area and wanted to gain real world experience. Digital Media Butterfly has exceeded my expectations in how they attend to people, their social media outlets, websites and overall brand.
Finishing up my spring semester of my senior year at Baylor, I was given the opportunity to join the DMB team and learn from the women there. It was clear to me how well I would love working at Digital Media Butterfly, and the kind of knowledge that I would grow in over my time there. It truly has been a special place, but at the time, I had no idea just how special it would be.
Caryn, Kallie, Kayla, Bailey, Caitlyne and Jillian are confident and compassionate women who have taught me how to better communicate and market well. There was never a day where I felt like I could not ask them for help on a project. They were always willing and eager to help me succeed.
While at Digital Media Butterfly, I was trusted to take on two clients for them. I got to work with Katie’s Frozen Custard and Roz-Tech Pest Management on creating social media posts for them. Through this amazing opportunity, I was able to grow in my digital marketing skills. It was really special for me to create content for these two clients because of how different they are. Something that I took away from DMB, is how well the women at the Waco office know each of their clients.
I truly have learned so much from my time here. Even outside of gaining marketing experience, I have gained insight into what an amazing work environment looks like. The team work aspect at Digital Media Butterfly got me excited to show up for my internship!
What a blessing it has been to be a part of this team. Leaving Digital Media Butterfly, I can say with certainty that I have grown in my marketing skills, ranging from communicating with clients to creating social media posts. I am extremely grateful for this experience, and I hope to always remember my time at DMB.
